OUR Work

Our History

Zvi J. Horovitz and Bracha Horovitz established Federal-Fabrics-Fibers, Inc. in 1991. Together, Zvi & Bracha provided the US government with superior, innovative woven and non-woven products to aid War Fighters in combat. Federal-Fabrics-Fibers moved to the Lowell, Massachusetts facility in 2000 and have been giving back to their local community ever since.

August 24

Delivered the first of its kind, integrating 2 Airbeam shelters to the sides of an ISO container on the sides of the shelter Expeditionary Maintenance and Repair Container (EMARC) for the Navy with IS4S as the Prime Contractor, The system was Developed and Built in a 6 month period.

August 24

Finalized 63 First Article Tests (FAT) Articles for the Contaminated Human Remains Transfer Case (CHRT) and started production of the first 300 units of an expected 1500 unit 5 year IDIQ program.

Won SBIR N211-044 for the development of an Inflatable Deployable Sail System for a Future Submarine, The only company down selected for this effort by NAVSEA and yielding contract N68335-21-C-0657.

Teamed with the University UMASS Lowell, Applied Constructal and Federal-Fabrics-Fibers, we did a feasibility study and discovery effort of a lighter than air-ship under the name Inflatable Remotely Piloted Air Ship (iRPAS)

Won a 4 year IDIQ Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) contract with Defence Logistics Agency (DLA) for our standard family of shelters, from 15′ 20′ 25′ 30′ and 40′ wide x 16′ 21′ 32′ 38′ and 44′ long, including accessories and mission support equipment.

Mass Personnel Decon system (MPD’s) a 40′ wide x 80′ long shelter consisting of 2 40′ wide x 38′ long shelter halfs to support the rapid decontamination of 250 people per hour both ambulatory and non-ambulatory.

Assisted Pvilion and Anchor Industries in the development of a brand new Luxury Gala Event Tent for Carnegie Hall. Broke new ground with IS4S on massive drive through decontamination shelter for the Department of Agriculture. Developed Chem/Bio Hoods for Saint Gobain. Standardized shelter systems for mass production seen here.

Developed new advanced trailer system integrated with multiple AirBeam Shelters for NERAC/MAPC

Began 10 year delivery of CBPS M4 AirFrames & Inflation Systems as sub to Smith’s Detection. GPMS Shelters tested and passed all Mil Spec requirements for United States Marine Corps. Completed Air Force Phase II Rigid Beam. Partnered with STAR-TIDES to provide sustainable and affordable shelter to stressed populations. Developed new LS sizes: 30’ x 38’ and 30’ x 45.’

Developed new Robust Intelligent Inflation System to meet mil spec -40° to 130° & EMI Shielding. Partnered with Merrimack Valley Health Department to deliver Chem/Bio Shelter. Introduced new Ridge Purlin series Shelters.

2007
January 1

Received CBPS contract for 26 AirBeam Systems as a sub to Smith’s Detection. Designed and delivered 43’ Dome Shelters for SPAWAR.

2006
January 1

Began export of A/C and alternator WOLF kits for armored ambulances. Awarded Phase I Rigid AirBeam. Developed ballistic fabric with Natick Army Labs.
